Bridgwater Court

Bridgwater Court provides community residential accommodation and care for people with intellectual/learning disabilities and/or autism. Individuals may also have mental health needs and require a positive approach to understanding their behaviours. Staff provide good relational security which enables individuals to achieve greater independence, social inclusion and quality of life in their own community.

The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide Care Home Services without Nursing for 12 adults aged 18-65 years who may have Learning Disability and/or Autism and/or Mental Health needs. The care provided is based on a positive behavioural support model which is delivered within the least restrictive practice.

Bridgwater Court is a property that offers accommodation and personal care for a maximum of 12 individuals. It is a cluster of self-contained 1 and 2 bedroom flats set in a residential area with easy access to the town centre and all its amenities. Many local services are within easy travelling distance.

It is a property with wide corridors and a communal stairwell to access all the flats allowing easy access for individuals who may have mobility difficulties. Outside there is a pleasant private garden and patio area. The flats are all self-contained offering individual expression and a high standard of living.

The staff office and sleep over room is located on the top floor of the house. There are separate amenities for the night staff and there is space for meetings and on-site training.The house is fitted throughout with smoke detectors, telephone and television aerial points. There is also CCTV fitted in the communal areas.
