Emily is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council who has many years of experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism in forensic settings. Emily has three degrees in Psychology and completed her Clinical Doctorate at the Institute of Psychiatry in London in 2000. Since this time, Emily has worked in adult mental health, and then in a medium secure setting for people with learning disabilities and autism. Emily is trained as a trainer in HCR-20 risk assessment and the PCL-R.

The most satisfying part of it is being able to provide a community service for people that would usually be waiting for discharge in hospital, or for those having a crisis in the community. I feel the essential part of our person centred care is in how we approach the understanding of the individuals needs and then provide a service based around these”.
